Hot on the heels of the announcement of Stable Video Diffusion, Pika announced the release of version 1.0 of its text-to-video platform (they call it “idea-to-video”), with a sample video to show off its stuff. The first impressions are good, and it’s generating a lot of buzz.

Pika has been running for a while in beta mode on Discord with solid results, but the sample video of Pika 1.0’s output suggests a dramatic leap in capabilities from what users have seen with earlier releases.
