OpenAI Announces GPT-4

OpenAI just announced the release of GPT-4, a major upgrade to the world’s best-known AI language model. GPT-4 introduces significant enhancements over GPT-3, most notably its status as a multimodal model, meaning it can take different formats as input. This includes images in addition to text.

OpenAI also claims that GPT-4 can solve more difficult problems with greater accuracy and will have “safer” responses with less hallucinations and related issues.

The size and capacity of the model are also much larger. GPT-4 can handle over 25,000 words of text, which leads to the ability to analyze and create much longer documents.

GPT-4 is currently only available to a small number of beta testers and has a waitlist. ChatGPT Plus users will get access to a special mode of GPT-4 that is built into the ChatGPT product.
